The Budy is a particularly versatile tandem. With 41 sq.m., it offers the ideal surface area for most pilots and uses.
It is studied to give a maximum performance in light conditions, as well as a quite high maximum speed. To sum up, its glide ratio is excellent, approaching the level of EN C solo wings.
Its handling on take-off is exemplary, with maximum lift from the very first km/h / mph: your passengers will be instantly feeling safe by the sensation of immediate lift-off!

When you’re a tandem pilot, you’re used to wings with good glide.
The Budy will remind you your solo cross wing, with outstanding glide ratio and sink rate.
It will let you fly comfortably over your favorite landscapes and arrive with plenty of height above the landing area.

Technologies
Nitinol rods
The Way wings have already taken the next step by opting for Nitinol rods, a titanium-nickel alloy used in radio modelling. The result: a leading edge that’s always clean and taut, even at low angles of incidence. This also improves robustness, as well as the structure’s durability. Although more expensive, we opted for Nitinol to offer you the best free-flight experience.
Shark-nose leading edge
This technology improves spectacularly the strength of the leading edge, in the event of a sudden drop in incidence, delaying collapses and increasing stability in accelerated flights. We have surpassed what was possible thanks to 3D imaging coupled with a sharper than ever knowledge of mechanical resistances. Our mastery of glider construction has been taken to the next level.
The result is also more aesthetically pleasant, with a clean, taut leading edge in all circumstances.
Optimum fabric strength
We don’t cut corners when it comes to materials. The same applies to the fabric. It’s a top-of-the-range Porcher and Dominico Tex fabric designed in top-level engineering offices using state-of-the-art software. On a Way wing, tension is always in the direction of the fabric weft, and we avoid any diagonal tension to avoid any elasticity. The result: minimal deformation and maximum durability. Your Way wing will last longer.
Hybrid elevators
Light and strong hybrid elevators: thin and comfortable, the best of both worlds.
The Lacy's upper and intermediate lines are made from unsheathed Aramid Edelrid, while the lower lines are made from sheathed Aramid TNL. Such a combination is highly efficient.

The accessories included in the delivery allow for optimal transport and storage of the wing.

A zippered compression bag to protect the wing during storage and transport. Our compression system allows the wing to be retracted into the smallest reversible harnesses.
A compression strap that will compress the inner bag to reduce its volume and save space.
A repair kit including a sheet of Ripstop sticker in the same color as the wing.
